My Blogs and I
My name is Retha Groenewald and I am a Christian who is passionate about the Bible, and am a permanent Bible student. Yes, I love to read, meditate on, and teach the Bible.
I have three blogs:
Bible Fascination – getting to know the Bible better
Discover Bible Treasures – Journey with other heroes and heroines and solve Bible puzzles and quests
Retha Groenewald – Author blog – Fantasy novel The Four Faces
Welcome to BIBLE FASCINATION
Bible Fascination is my blog where we can get to know the Bible better. This is my second blog and I launched it July 2012.
The three main pages of Bible Fascination are:
I love reading and began reviewing the books I read during February 2013. The books I read and review are Christian fiction and non-fiction. The non-fiction topics that I read are not all Christian topics. My favorite genre is Christian fantasy but I read different genres.
Under Book Reviews you will also find the different Reading Challenges I began taking part in during 2013. Have a look and join me with some or all of these reading challenges. I find the reading challenges organize my reading habit in a more productive way. For example there are a few challenges I am taking part in that focus on the books that I always wanted to read, but never get to.
Under general I post topics that are not filed under Book Reviews or Gospel.
I love reading the Bible, and especially the Gospels. A few years ago I read the Bible chronologically. It was a great experience. Reading the Bible in the order that the events took place, instead of in the order of the books, made the Bible come alive for me in a different way. The characters in the Bible became real people living in real times.
The other great advantage of reading the Gospels in chronological order, is that you read what the authors had written about a certain event together at the same place. Thus receiving the full picture of what had happened.
I post about the Gospel in chronological order and have divided the different stages of Jesus’ life and ministry in different categories.
See you later
Thank you for stopping by. I trust you enjoyed the visit.
I would love to stay in touch, so leave a comment and tell me about you, and feel free to ask me questions. What is your favorite Bible book? Do you read the Bible in chronological order? Join me also by subscribing to this blog or follow me at these connections:
Have a wonderful week and see you soon!
